05 About
Cole Welcher is a Chicago production sound mixer and audio post specialist who knows what editors need because he is one.
He records on set as a mixer and boom operator, then takes that same audio through dialogue editing, cleanup and final mix. Producers get sound that is captured with post in mind, and post work done by someone who understands what happened on location.
He trained at DePaul University (BFA, Film & Television, Sound) and at Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Los Angeles, and worked in production and post with SpectreVision. He is fluent in Spanish, which is valuable on bilingual documentary shoots and interviews.
